About
My name is Helen Tanner. I have spent more than twenty years in healthcare, in a lot of different seats. I have delivered care as an advanced practice provider, led clinical teams inside startup company from seed to Series B, and I write and speak for the clinicians moving into this world. That mix is why I can sit with a founder and a frontline clinician in the same day and understand what each one needs.
Clinicians are not staffing for a healthcare company. They are the reason it works. But I also understand what a company needs to hit: margins, growth, the numbers investors watch. My work is the strategy and design behind the clinical side, both the team and the content, so it drives the business.
Get the clinical side right and the company grows, and patients are better for it.
I write regularly and publicly on LinkedIn, and my work has been published on Doximity, a clinical platform of more than 3 million verified clinicians, and other clinical outlets. I founded The Early Hires, a podcast and growing community for clinicians navigating healthcare startups. I now channel all of that through Prescriptive Ink, serving early-stage companies, digital health organizations, and healthcare startups.

What I Bring
Clinical teams
A clinician who advises, builds and scales your NP and PA function.
Why it matters to you: your clinical team is your largest cost and your ceiling on growth.
-
Care model design. What the team does and what each clinician owns.
-
Hiring. Recruiting the right NPs and PAs.
-
Credentialing and licensing. Across every state you operate in.
-
Supervision and scope. Structured so you can grow.
-
Compensation and incentives. Pay and incentive structure that works.
-
Productivity model. Panel sizes, targets, throughput.
-
Training and onboarding. So clinicians ramp and stay.
-
Scaling. Growing all of it as you expand.
Clinical Content
A clinician who writes content providers trust.
Why it matters to you: in healthcare, people do not adopt what they do not trust. Content from a clinician is what gets providers to use your product and patients to choose you = adoption and revenue.
-
Provider adoption. Content that gets clinicians to use your product or care model.
-
Patient conversion. Clinically credible content that gets patients to sign up and stay. Lower cost to acquire, higher conversion.
-
Credibility for deals and fundraising. Content that shows payers, partners, and investors you are clinically legit.
-
Clinical accuracy. Getting it right so you build trust instead of risk.
